Making Method

For the Cookies:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 F degrees. In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugars until light and fluffy.  Add eggs one at a time and beat well.

Step 2: Add in molasses, salt, cinnamon, flour, vanilla extract and mix well.  Fold in the oats just until combined.

Step 1: In a small saucepan melt butter over low heat.  Remove from heat and stir in sugar and salt until smooth and well combined. 

Step 2: Add heavy cream, vanilla extract, and beat until light and fluffy (about 1-2 minutes). 

Pour cream filling over cooled cookies and refrigerate overnight before serving.
